My Review

I have a friend who has gorgeous freckles - I always assumed she didn't wear any makeup because she looks so naturally pretty. Come to find out, she is a big fan of mineral makeup and uses it regularly. 

I was so happy when I found out that I was selected to review Mia Mariu’s products! They let me choose a few to try - and I was not disappointed!

My first two items for review are the Mineral Loose Powder Foundation and the Perfect Blending Brush No. 22 (designed to give a perfectly natural application of Mineral Loose Foundation). I used their Shade Finder to find my Perfect Tone, named Marfil.

I am normally a liquid foundation kind of girl, and have been since I was a teen. I also use primer, concealer and highlighter all under a compact powder.

The Powder Foundation is light coverage, which feels nice. I will wear it at home (because every girl should look nice even at home) or for a day at the beach. It concealed my under eye circles (from anemia) a bit, but I need slightly more coverage for going to work. It minimized blemishes only slightly and evened out most of my skin tone, but I still had some areas that were reddish. I would definitely want to wear primer, concealer and highlighter underneath (they sell those too). If you have a fairly even skin tone and no problem areas, you could wear this foundation by itself. It feels great too.

The second item I reviewed is their Loose Mineral Eyeshadow in Marino (black). I wear liquid eyeliner daily, so this was a change for me. It went on nicely with my eyeliner brush and made a soft, winged line. I will probably use this more as a shadow or over my liquid, and for days when I want a more natural look it will make a nice liner. You can also build color intensity with layering, which was nice.

Overall, I did like their products. I am very interested in trying out the Mineral Blush, Bronzer and Lip Gloss. I'm also very interested in their Life and Body Plus vitamin line.
